About Us

A non-governmental and non-profit organisation

French Refugee Council-FRC is an independent humanitarian and non-governmental organisation founded in 2013 in response to the refugee crisis in Europe under the UN Convention for Refugees to ensure refugees are able to find safety and protection. Since its establishment, FRC has sought to provide practical support to asylum seekers and refugees and has been supporting refugees to re-build their lives, with an ultimate goal that all refugees have a decent life as a full member of the society, self-determined and recognised as human beings with skills, experiences, idea and thoughts.

Changing narratives and raising awareness

OUR VISION

We strive for a collective action so that asylum seekers and refugees are protected and embraced by host communities. Our goal is to remove possible obstacles to their integration and to reassure host societies by presenting action plans and examples of successful integration paths.

OUR MISSION

We work to support asylum seekers and refugees to build a happy and dignified life, far from persecution and we help them to be useful to their host communities as full citizens.

OUR VALUE

Our core value is the empowerment of asylum seekers and refugees, especially women and vulnerable groups. Indeed, our actions aim to empower our audiences, improve their self-esteem and promote mutual respect by fostering connections of solidarity between host communities and refugees.

A Refugee-led organisation that aims to give an authentic voice to refugees

As a refugee-led organisation, FRC speaks up for asylum seekers and refugees by ensuring that they have access to education, employment opportunities, legal information and are able to make economic contributions to their host communities. FRC with its vast network of volunteers directly work with the asylum seekers and refugees to ensure they have stronger and more influential voice and can contribute with their expertise to smoothen their integration in their host communities.

Our core value

FRC has sought to provide practical support to asylum seekers and refugees and has been supporting refugees to re-build their lives, with an ultimate goal that all refugees have a decent life as a full member of the society, self-determined and recognized as human beings with skills, experiences, idea and thoughts.
