Scholarship for Refugees

Students are among the first victims of all totalitarian regimes, therefore FRENCH REFUGEE COUNCIL helps refugee students with the aim of professional integration through studies. Their request is admissible regardless of their country of origin and the reasons for their exile (political, religious, ethnic, etc.). To submit a request for scholarship, 3 criteria are required.

Legal Residency

Be the beneficiary of a residence permit within the framework of international protection

Pre-requirement

Have at least a high school education level (baccalaureate diploma or secondary school leaving certificate)

Professional Project

Have a graduate project, depending on the background of each, the projects can be very varied

FRENCH REFUGEE COUNCIL has been making available 10 scholarships to students entitled to international refugee protection to attend the language courses in French universities. The 10 annual beneficiaries of these scholarships will be able to enrol to French language classes for free. The aim is to promote and support the academic development of immigrants holding the status of refugees and contribute to their professional placement in the community.

REGISTRATION

The project is advertise nationally through different social media platforms and candidates are required to submit an application online.

COMMISSION OF ATTRIBUTION

An independent commission reviews all candidate and chooses the candidates in accordance to the admission guidelines . 

ANNOUNCEMENT

Successfully candidates are notified on the attribution of school and are asked for an administrative meeting 

CLASSES BEGIN

French classes begin and candidates join classes.



Personalised Support

Beneficiaries are supported by professional trainers to determine their future professional project throughout the program. Most of the beneficiaries after completing their the scholarship program received a personalised support to get enrolled in French Universities for a degree program and very few of them went on joining another professional training program.

Mobility through Public transport

Transport Card

Beneficiaries without any revenue will have a complete reimbursement of public transport card during the scholarship period

Accessibility to a wider public

Demography accessibility

Students in other provinces can also apply for the scholarship program and they will be enrolled in centers located in their city.

Alternative to physical classes

Distance learning

Evening class / weekend or online classes can be provided to the students who are unable to attend physical classes during the week.
