French Refugee Council as a refugee-led organisation speaks up for asylum seekers and refugees by ensuring that they have access to education, employment opportunities, legal information and can make economic contributions to their host communities. The core goal of FRC is to assist refugees in France in securing meaningful employment and to advocate for and safeguard the rights of migrants and refugees throughout the the country by raising awareness and providing direct support. These efforts embody human solidarity by acknowledging the dignity of migrants and refugees, fostering understanding and collaboration, championing human rights, and enabling these individuals to construct their own futures in their new homeland.
The greatest achievement of FRC is building a bridge between the French citizens and the refugees by removing all barriers and presenting refugee talents and skills under “Community Link Program”. An initiative that connects local citizens with asylum seekers and refugees through languages classes. Since 2013, FRC has helped hundreds of asylum seekers and refugees find French language tutor all over France who offer language classes at home, at schools, at parks or online in case a physical location is not possible. Teach a Refugee program on one hand helps refugees learn French language without any fee and on the other the initiative aims at removing cultural gaps and all other negative perspectives on refugees in the country by presenting their talents and competences.
